Here at world tobacco, we bring you many diversified products, from food to recreation. We are one company with many names, but we are all heart.
We give away a lot of our name brand food right here, to the needy in America, but when we saw the recent footage of world tragedy we just couldn’t turn our backs on the suffering.
We loaded up trucks and planes and sent them immediately to the heart of the tragedy.
Our relief plane was met by some children in dirty tattered clothes, who asked, “Are you Americans?”
We answered “Yes” in Spanish, and they gave us blank looks. We could tell these people really needed help.
They were starving so we gave them food. But what was worse, they were lacking in self-image and status. So we gave them cigarettes and business loans.
Soon this city will bustle again.
What I remember most was the look in the eyes of a sickly child as I held a cigarette to her quivering lips. No price could ever be placed on the look of gratitude on that small face. I will always treasure the memory.
We hope that the Midwest never floods again; but, if it does, rest assured, World Tobacco will be there to lend a helping hand.
We feel it’s our obligation.
