First, you must bend to our unrelenting & dominating will... Oh, the other kind of submission... Read the magazine to see that your submission does or can fit into the scheme of things. (We get lots of submissions that are NOT appropriate- such as novels and poetry) Determine that you are sending an appropriate work. Send your submission WAIT Wait some more. If we can use it, we will generally get back to you in 1-2 weeks- sometimes less, sometimes more. (Several people generally read it over.) Sometimes we get back to you right away, but don't count on it. If selected, you will be IN. We will welcome you into our bizarre love cult. The following is a short diatribe about how to keep the editors happy. The editors compile this section and then judge submissions accordingly. Following this guide will make the editors admire and love you to the point that you may need to establish a restraining order. We call this section: Pay Attention, This Means YOU. Text We can take your submission via e-mail, plain text, with a blank line separating the paragraphs. This is important for our feeble eyesight. A blind editor is of no use to anyone, only satisfying our affirmative action needs. Do not send your submission as an attachment, but as the body of the message (see above). We only accept attached files from regular contributors (and some specific formatting then applies, see below). Please resist sending it in "the latest" MS Word formats. Most good processors will let you save the document in other file formats. We like Apple Pages Documents and RTF files the best. Do Not TAB. Use the ruler along the top of most word processors to make your indent. Move the indent 2 spaces over with the ruler. This makes the editors so happy that they cry. They are then susceptible to YOUR power. Be sure to send your contact info, and how you prefer to have your name spelled. There are many ways to spell, and we know them all. Wait. (See above.) Artwork Do not send insanely large files- send JPG or GIF. Rights: We only take one-time rights. You send, we accept, we publish. YOU retain your copyright. This is as it should be. Beware people who take your copyright. Beware: Our rejection rate is high. (This is due mostly to the inappropriate nature of most submissions, damn submissives!)& we don't reply to submissions we reject.
