I love technology. It seems that this world is constantly changing. Today, I say my last goodbye to the class of 1930. The world they enter is a whirlwind of activity. I know that, with the knowlege that they have gleened over these past four years, they enter the world as well prepared as they could ever be.
I must say that the yearbook committee has outdone themselves this year. Their fine design will last for generations. Just look at the cover of the book. I think that the inclusion of the Chinese symbol of good luck is a stroke of genius. This is a cover that we will all be proud of at the reunion in 1940 and beyond!
Let me say a few things about the outgoing class of 1930: What a great group of students. You have excelled in every task you have undertaken. From advertising and finance to those new fangled "talking" pictures (I beleive you've really got something there).
Here they are doing a short film they call "Deep inside Thelma." Most of the senior and junior classes participated, making this our most popular extra-curricular activity. (I'm told it sold well, too!)
I know some of you have had hardships. I point out the four brothers who are joined at the hips. Look at how they excelled on the sack race team! I think we should all give them an extra special hand at the graduation ceremonies next week.
How could I not mention the efforts of our business club. These boys kept this school in the black after the difficulties incurred by the crash. They jumped right in and showed that ol' school spirit. Numourous "trade" runs to Chicago not only kept us in ball point pens- It afforded me the two state-of-the-art telepones you see behind me. Thanks Boys!
I would be remiss not to include the more avant guard of our projects here- The interpetive dance troupe. Founded this year, here is the troupe doing a peice they call "ode to the internet." I must confess, I don't know what it's all about; however, don't count these kids out. I think their risque outfits and suggestive moves will earn them a good living on the burlesque curcuit.
