No! -I- am an Oscar Mayer Wiener. We are all Oscar Mayer Wieners!

Oscar Mayer Memorial

The world was shocked on July 6 at the early death of Oscar G. Meyer Jr. at the age of 95. While he had retired from the family business, founded by his grandfather, Oscar G. Meyer Sr, in 1977, millions of processed meat fans worldwide still held him as the titular head of the company.
He is survived by the Wienermobile.

Around the world fans of processed meats and meat products mourn this loss. Memorial services and parades will be held in cities around the nation, as well as overseas in both English and French speaking countries. Fans, referred to in English-speaking countries as “meatheads” and French speaking countries as “le meatheads,” will gather to honor the life and work of Oscar G. Meyer Jr. and share their personal memories. They will carry educational signs and sing the standard tune, “I wish I were an Oscar Mayer wiener.” The wiener song will be sung solo, in three and four part harmony, utilizing call and response, and in rounds.

These memorials will occur Saturday, July 11, commencing at noon.

"Not since radical physicist Benny Hill first postulated that time slowed down while being chased by bikini-clad women; however, from the vantage point of the viewer, time sped up, have the masses been witness to such a momentous spectacle."
