Politics in the U.S.

Republicans believe in giving handouts but with preference to the rich; and if money is short, to only the rich. In times of trouble money can be cut from social services, education, veterans' benefits, and military safety equipment. This is called "fiscal responsibility."
They believe in a free market, which means you have to pay; especially if you're poor.
Many are evangelical Christians, which means they believe in Jesus Christ; but not so firmly as to actually practice the directives of the sermon on the mount. Moderation in this, if nothing else.

Democrats believe in compromise; so much so, in fact, that they are ready, willing, and able to compromise away every other principle they say they believe in. A compromise today for a compromise tomorrow.

Greens are obsessed with inclusiveness; they believe in doing something but not before first exploring all opinions through discussing it in a circle for six months beforehand. Any action can be effectively blocked by one person; which relieves the burden of tyranny of the majority. Thus relieved of burden, the majority can rest easy.

"Not since radical physicist Benny Hill first postulated that time slowed down while being chased by bikini-clad women; however, from the vantage point of the viewer, time sped up, have the masses been witness to such a momentous spectacle."
