Years ago I had a stack of ancient Popular Mechanics magazines. Back then the magazine was smaller (like Asimov's or F&SF). It was also more future oriented.

Now, thanks to this site set up by a brave archivist, you can delve into Futures Past.

ChardmanThat's really damn weird that you'd put that up now; I was just talking to an electrical engineer that I work with about building a Theremin and he pulled out an old Popular Mechanics magazine from the early sixties that had just such an article.
