There comes a time when every man jack and serving wench alike must sluff off their personal diversions and instead listen to hours and hours of government propaganda!
… and hours of government propaganda offered up as entertainment is what you can get, over at ye olde internet archive. They have loads of radio shows there, but, in particular they have this nice set of “I was a communist for the FBI” a classic anti-communist scare program from the 50s.
Wikipedia says, “The tone of the show is very jingoistic and ultra-patriotic. Communists are evil incarnate and the FBI can do no wrong. As a relic of the Joe McCarthy era, this show is a time capsule of American society during the second red scare.”
